The International Journal of Molecular Medicine and Advance Sciences (IJMMAS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. All authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the research, peer review, or editorial decision-making process.

IJMMAS follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the ethical guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that conflicts of interest are appropriately identified, disclosed, and managed.

Definition of Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning the validity, interpretation, or publication of research may be influenced by secondary interests, including financial, personal, academic, institutional, political, or commercial relationships.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not necessarily prevent publication; however, full disclosure is essential to maintain transparency and public trust.

Author Responsibilities

All authors must disclose any relationships or circumstances that could influence, or appear to influence, the research findings or interpretation of the results.

Potential conflicts may include:

• Financial support or research funding.
• Employment or consultancy.
• Stock ownership or shareholding.
• Honoraria or speaker fees.
• Patents or patent applications.
• Advisory board membership.
• Personal or family relationships.
• Institutional affiliations that may create bias.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include the following statement in their manuscript:

"The authors declare that they have no competing interests."

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation. Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if they have:

• Recent collaboration with the authors.
• Personal or professional relationships that could affect impartiality.
• Financial interests related to the manuscript.
• Institutional conflicts.
• Any circumstance that may compromise an objective review.

Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal or professional benefit.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors and Editorial Board members must perform their duties impartially and independently. Editors who have a conflict of interest regarding a submitted manuscript must recuse themselves from the editorial process and assign the manuscript to another qualified editor.

Editorial decisions must never be influenced by financial interests, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, political considerations, or commercial organizations.

Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose all sources of financial support, grants, sponsorships, or institutional funding related to the research. The role of the funding organization in study design, data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, or publication decisions should also be clearly described.

Management of Conflicts

The Editorial Office will evaluate all disclosed conflicts of interest during the editorial process. Where necessary, appropriate measures may include requesting additional disclosures, assigning alternative reviewers or editors, publishing conflict of interest statements with the article, or taking other actions to ensure an impartial editorial process.

Failure to disclose a significant conflict of interest may result in manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, article retraction, or other editorial actions in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Transparency and Accountability

Conflict of interest disclosures are intended to promote transparency rather than prevent publication. Honest and complete disclosure enables editors, reviewers, and readers to evaluate research objectively while preserving confidence in the integrity of the scientific record.

Policy Compliance

By submitting a manuscript to IJMMAS, all authors confirm that they have fully disclosed all relevant conflicts of interest and agree to comply with this policy. Editors and reviewers likewise agree to disclose any conflicts that may arise during the editorial or peer-review process and to act in accordance with the ethical recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.
